Homemade Almond Milk

Preparation time 20 mins

Soaking Time overnight

Makes 2 cups

 

Ingredients

1/2 cup almonds, unroasted and unsalted

1/4 cup jaggery

2 cups of water

Method

1. Soak almonds in a cup of water and leave overnight

2. Strain the almonds out and wash them with water

3. Blend the almonds until they are ground

4. Add 2 cups of water and blend again

5. Use a nut milk bag or a cheese cloth to strain the milk

6. Add 1/4 cup jaggery to the almond milk and stir

7. Put in a jar and you can store the almond milk in the refrigerator for a week. Enjoy!
